Three people have been killed and a minimum of nine individuals got hurt in the newest assault from Ukraine on the Russian border region of Belgorod, according to its governor.

The loss of life took place after an attack on the village of Maslova Pristan in the early hours of Wednesday, authorities reported. Emergency workers were persisting in looking for people potentially caught under wreckage.

This marks the third straight day that Ukraine has struck the area, leaving thousands of people without power and no fewer than two additional individuals dead.

Series of Attacks Result in Destruction

A sequence of Wednesday aerial assaults damaged homes, vehicles and energy systems in various areas of Belgorod, per information from authority reports.

Authorities shared photographs from Maslova Pristan showing a athletic facility with its building components destroyed, and mentioned that emergency personnel were clearing debris and examining the harm.
