Several Detentions Made After Trump and Epstein Pictures Projected on Windsor Castle

Several individuals were arrested after visuals featuring former President Donald Trump and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein appeared onto Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening, as the president’s visit in the UK.

Police Response and Arrests

Local authorities stated that the individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of "public order offenses" after what they described as a "public stunt." Those arrested comprised a 60-year-old from East Sussex, a 36-year-old and a 50-year-old from London, and a 37-year-old from Kent.

Police added that law enforcement acted quickly to halt the display on the royal residence, where the president is scheduled to greet the monarch during his state visit.

Background of the Event

The former president had ties to Jeffrey Epstein during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. So far, he has never been formally accused with any wrongdoing related to the deceased financier.

This trip follows just days after the UK's top diplomat in Washington was removed over his links with the convicted sex offender.

Wednesday morning, a vehicle was spotted in Windsor displaying an image of Trump and Epstein along with the message: "Hello Donald, welcome to Britain."

Security Measures and Demonstration Arrangements

A significant security detail has been deployed throughout the area, with more than 1,600 officers tasked to monitor events in the capital amid expected demonstrations by activist groups.

At the same time, the president and First Lady Melania are set to take part in lunch with members of the royal household, pay respects the tomb of the late queen, and give a address at a state banquet.

Demonstrators gathered in Windsor prior to the arrival, emphasizing the divisive nature of the state visit.
