Lil Nas X Begins Therapy Following Altercation Against Law Enforcement
Chart-topping performer the rapper is currently receiving in-patient treatment, as stated by his legal team this week. This development arrives after his arrest last month for various accusations involving battery as well as obstructing officers.
Court Hearing Discloses Wellness Plan
In a court hearing this week, Hill’s attorneys told the court that the musician was engaged in therapy outside the state. The court reportedly allowed him to continue away on condition that he continues in treatment.
“We’re addressing those issues” while “this is a temporary challenge he will overcome”, stated the attorneys.
Context of the Altercation
The incident occurred in late August when Lil Nas X was said to be moving on a Los Angeles street partially clothed before allegedly confronting law enforcement that had stopped him.
The performer has denied the charges to multiple counts of assault against officers and one criminal count of opposing an officer of the law.
Musical Success
Lil Nas X first climbed to prominence in the late 2010s because of his record-breaking track “Old Town Road,” which dominated Billboard for a record period. He eventually won several Grammys.

If convicted, Hill may face as much as five years in jail.
In the days after the event, Hill posted a message on social media stating, “That was terrifying, however “your girl’s gonna be all right”.
His attorney one of his lawyers added that Hill is “supported by a loving family” and team that looks after his welfare.
